For those who want to master the skill of becoming a sailing skipper, Diverso Impex offers a sailing course focused on acquiring new and improving existing knowledge and skills in boat handling, as well as recognizing and adapting to different sea conditions.

Sailing training

1 DAY OF SAILING / 6H–8H

  • 1 DAY OF SAILING 125 EUR per person

Minimum number of participants is 4 persons.

The following are included in all listed prices:

  • instructor/skipper
  • accommodation on the Elan 50 Impression yacht
  • tourist tax
  • bedding and towels
  • dinghy

Food, fuel, final cleaning, and mooring fees in other marinas are not included in the price.

The sailing school takes place on our motor sailboat Elan 50, and the departure port is Marina Kaštela.

50% one day before departure

For those who need a classic boat leader course category C (4 days of theory + 1 day of practice), the course is conducted according to the plan and program prescribed by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia and is paid separately from the above-mentioned.

 

Example of a plan for a sailing school

  1. day: Arriving on the ship and familiarization with the ship, use of instruments and navigation plan. Going grocery shopping if you will be staying at the sea for several days. Sailing towards Šolta or Brač and anchoring in one of the safe bays
  2. day: Breakfast on board, raising the anchor and practical navigation training. Training for landing on a free mullet, just like landing in a marina. All types of docking, stern, side and bow. If the sailing conditions are good, we open the sails and sail. In the early evening, we sail into a sheltered bay, set the sails and repeat the navigation theory. I prefer the bay in front of Stari Grad harbor or on Brač the bay of Lucice.
  3. day: We raise the anchor and set sail from the bay and, depending on the conditions, sail by motor or sail towards Hvar. If we go by motor, we practice collision avoidance and other navigation exercises. If we sail, we try all sailing directions, into the wind (orca), sideways with the wind and astern. If we have arrived in front of the town of Hvar, we will find a bay on the Pakleni otoci and anchor.
  4. day: We raise the anchor after breakfast and leave for Vis and try to sail around the whole of Vis and visit the most interesting places with the help of sails or motors. We anchor in the port of Vis.
  5. day: We raise the sails and sail towards Milna on Brač, where we repeat all the landing maneuvers, fill up with fuel and tie up in the marina or at anchor in a safe bay.
  6. day: Depending on the weather, we will sail or motor towards the Kaštela marina.

On all days of navigation, after sailing or riding a motorbike, we have courses on how to prepare simple and easy-to-prepare meals, which does not include opening ready meals from cans. We make a schedule for washing the ship and dishes so that all participants learn how to live on a ship. We also organize a watch if we have bad weather conditions.

The plan is adjusted to weather conditions, duration and the participants themselves.
