D45 – Bridge Resource Management (BRM) <\/strong>course is designed to introduce concept of a navigation team to ship\u00a0masters and watch officers and to define the individual task and responsibilities of the various team members\u00a0while developing \u00a0a situational awareness to prevent possible errors. Trainees will gain valuable experience in handling ships under various conditions and they will be able to\u00a0contribute to the bridge team during ship manoeuvring as they will learn about:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. allocation, assignment and prioritization of resources,<\/li>\n
  2. effective communication,<\/li>\n
  3. assertiveness and leadership,<\/li>\n
  4. situational awareness,<\/li>\n
  5. consideration of team experience and knowledge of BRM principles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    COURSE DURATION: 20 hours (2 days)<\/p>\n

    No exam required.<\/p>\n

    D45 – Bridge Resource Management (BRM) certificate is valid indefinitely.<\/p>\n
