{"id":2784,"date":"2016-11-28T09:43:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-28T08:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diversoimpex.hr\/?p=2784"},"modified":"2017-12-06T10:03:41","modified_gmt":"2017-12-06T09:03:41","slug":"human-element-leadership-and-management-upravljacka-razina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diversoimpex.hr\/en\/helm-management-level\/","title":{"rendered":"Human Element, Leadership and Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HELM course &#8211; Human Element, Leadership and Management at the is designed to meet the requirements for approved training in the human element, leadership and management.<\/p>\n<p>HELM\u00a0course is targeted to technical officers and it meets the requirements relevant to bridge resource management, engine-room resource management and application of leadership and teamworking skills as set out in Tables A-II\/1, A-III\/1 and A-III\/6 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) incorporating the Manila amendments.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>HELM Course Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Upon completion of the HELM course candidates\u00a0will be able to control the operation of the ship and care for persons on board at the management level through the use leadership and managerial skills to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allocate duties and inform the crew about expected level of work standards and behavior in an appropriate manner;<\/li>\n<li>Base training objectives and activities on the assessment of current competence and capabilities of the crew;<\/li>\n<li>Plan operations and allocate resources in correct priority to perform the necessary tasks;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure clear and unambiguous communication;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate effective leadership behavior;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that team members have an accurate understanding of current and predicted vessel state and operational status as well as an external environment;<\/li>\n<li>Verify that all decisions are most effective for the respective situation;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HELM is targeted for two different levels.
